  Cindy

Cindy Corral is a natural and comes from a long line of hair stylist. Her mother, grandmother and friend were all involved with styling hair and making people look beautiful. Cindy was born in Chicago Illionois in 1962 and has two sisters and one brother. Cindy lived in Chicago until she was 13 years old. It was at this time that her mother decided that the family has had enough of the cold and snow and that California was the place to go. So, in 1972 like the Beverly Hillbillies, Cindy's family packed up their belongings, headed to California and landed in Vista California where Cindy's mother's sister was currently living. And as you might imagine, every one fell in love with this quaint little town.

Growing up, Cindy remembers watching her grandmother doing hair. Grandmother would tell Cindy stories of her childhood and early adulthood where she like Cindy would watch her mother cut and style her friends hair for $.25-.50 cents. Cindy's Grandmother became very successful and opened up her own beauty salon. In fact Grandmother owned two successful hair salons before she passed away.

Cindy's mother, Marlene Cote also worked in grandma's hair salons for several years. So before Cindy even knew that hair styling was her calling she had had three generations of influence and experience. No wonder Cindy know says that she loves everything that doing hair is about - making people happy and beautiful.

Cindy says that she remembers when she was about seven years old that all the dolls that she had she would cut all their hair off trying many of the styles she had seen her mother and grandmother do in the salon (much to Cindy's mother's dismay). And if that were not enough, Cindy would practice on her sisters and brother (again much to her mother's dismay).

While in high school here in Vista, Cindy would practice her styling technique on as many of her friends as would let her. After graduation in 1981 Cindy definately knew what she wanted to do for a career and went right into beauty school. Cindy says that this was the best time in her life and she graduated at the top of her class in 1982.

From 1982 - 1986 Cindy worked at a ski resort in Colorado where she was a ski lift operator and a hair stylist for the employees and guests of her ski lodge.

Cindy returned to California in 1987 where she took her first professional job in Del Mar as an assistant hair stylist working a year for a man who had styled in hollywood and has done the hair of many of hollywood's most prominent stars. Cindy is forever greatful to this man as he had the patience of a saint in teaching her many of his secrets for making people happy and beautiful.

From 1988 - 1990 Cindy worked in various shops learning as much as she could about how to make people happy and beautiful. It was at this time that Cindy met a woman named Vickie Bradcher who saw a lot of potential in Cindy and offered Cindy a job at her newly aquired hair salon in San Marcos California. Cindy worked there for the next two years refining her skills.

In 1992 Vickie baught another shop in Shadow Ridge, named it The Ridge Hair Design and placed Cindy there as her lead hair stylist. Cindy has enjoyed great success at this shop for the past ten years and has now started her own business in the hair styling industry including her own web site where you can visit and see many of the weddings and styles she has done.

Cindy has perfected her skills and is one of finest hair stylest in Southern California. Cindy can style anyone to look their best. She styles children, young adults, adults of all ages and seniors.
